Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. She was raised by her mother and her father, in USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and made to feel unwanted. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence after being highly praised during an audition. This not only increased her confidence but altered the direction in which she went on to pursue her career. She attended New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she turned 23, she started her professional career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot receiving not just the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC her role was given greater appreciation. She is a popular singer. she has also recorded songs and plays. She also works as a LGBT activist.
