Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actress and writer popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared for her first stage appearance. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions before making it huge in the national theater scene with Li'l Abner's in the year 1957. The same year, She recorded her first album of songs, called It's Time to Tina. Louise first appeared in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre, a drama from 1957. The film was hugely popular and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's teacher. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in more realistic roles as in contrast to her portrayal of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made her name as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 29th August in 1965. The family relocated to Toronto when she was three. Her childhood was spent in Toronto and through her teenage years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and she has settled down there ever since.
